The policies of Austin Creek Mutual Water Company follow applicable Federal, State and County laws and regulations, the Company’s Articles of Incorporation and the Company’s By-Laws. Putting policies into practice is the job of the Board of Directors. Changes in policy are first discussed in open board meetings, voted on by the Board of Directors, and recorded in the minutes of the meetings. Russian River Utility does not make policy decisions for ACMWC.
What happens if the State decides we are not following the laws and regulations? As of 2015, the State has the power to force non-compliant water systems to merge or “consolidate” with other water systems. Read about consolidation here.
